Directory of State Libraries http://lists.webjunction.org/libweb/usa-state.html A directory of links to state library websites. Many state libraries have genealogy resources and local history collections, but call ahead if you plan on visiting them.
Family History Archives Search for family history books by family name, author, or title. The books have been scanned and can be read using Adobe Reader. Also browsable.
Family History Library (Utah) http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHL/frameset_library.asp "Founded in 1894 to gather genealogical records and assist members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with their family history and genealogical research." The library contains a wealth of genealogical records and the catalog can be browsed online. Open to the public, the library is located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Note some microfilm reels can be accessed through a Family History Center near you.

New Jersey State Archives http://www.state.nj.us/state/darm/links/archives.html A repository for New Jersey records including: marriage records (1795-1848), birth and burial records (pre-1848), census records (1830-1930), wills (1670-1952), and colonial land records. Also offers online collections and searchable databases.
New Jersey State Library Contains local history and genealogical holdings. A variety of state related information can be found here.
