New Jersey Institute of Technology Enterprise Development Center Business support resources and services for developing viable, stable firms. The Center "also provides clients access to appropriate rental space and flexible leases, shared basic services and equipment, technology support services, and assistance in obtaining the financing necessary to company growth."
New Jersey Small Business Development Center Offered at the Newark office in the Gateway Center are a start-up kit, guidance, training, financing, welfare-to-work assistance, and other opportunities.
Newark Business Information Center The Newark Business Information Center (The BIC) calls itself "a one-stop computerized reference facility for existing and future small businesses." The BIC offers free business counseling and access to business publications, computers and workshops.
Newark Downtown District The Newark Downtown District was established in 1998 by the Newark Municipal Council. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for students, residents, workers and visitors in Newark's central business district. It also works to present and develop economic opportunities in the central business area.
