Newark Emergency Services for Families

Newark Emergency Services for families is a non-profit organization that started in 1977, and serves the Essex County Community. Some of the services that NESFNJ provides to the community are: a 24 hour hotline, emergency shelter, food, clothing, food stamp applications, a day time drop-in center for the homeless, and primary medical care. NESFNJ is also listed as a first stop agency in the Essex County Smart book, which can be found on the Prisoner Re-Entry web guide and the New Jersey web guide.
