Older Government Documents on the Web
The majority of government publications were created prior to the internet age, and have been largely unavailable in an electronic format. Fortunately, many universities and museums have taken the initiative to digitize their government collections and make them available to the public. Below you will find links to collections from specific agencies and subjects.

Census Bureau - decennial census publications from 1790-present
Coastal Zone Information Center Digital Library - created by NOAA and contains current and historical information regarding coastal zone resource management.
FBI Vault - scans of the FBI's files on famous people and other popular and historic topics.
FRASER (Federal Reserve Archival System for Economic Research) - a large collection of historical economical statistical publications, reports, etc.
Presidential Documents - from the American Presidency Project
USDA Economics, Statistics and Market Information System - The system contains nearly 2500 reports and datasets. These materials cover U.S. and international agriculture and related topics. Available titles include both current and historical data.
United States Geological Survey Publications Warehouse - contains geological documents from as early as 1880,
maintained by the US Geological Survey
Historic Government Publications from World War II - from Southern Methodist University
