Health Insurance:
Charity Care - NJ Hospital Care Payment Assistance Program Hospital care payment assistance is available to New Jersey residents who: have no health coverage or have coverage that pays only for part of the bill, are ineligible for any private or governmental sponsored coverage (such as Medicaid), and meet both the income and assets eligibility criteria.

NJ Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund http://www.nj.gov/humanservices/cicrf/home/index.html The Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund (CICRF) was established by legislation to provide financial assistance for New Jersey families whose children have experienced an illness or condition which is not otherwise covered by insurance, State or Federal programs, or other sources such as fundraising.
http://www.state.nj.us/humanservices/dmahs/clients/medicaid/ To be eligible for New Jersey Medicaid, a person must meet these general requirements: resident of New Jersey, U.S. Citizen or qualified alien (most immigrants who arrived after August 22, 1996 are barred from the program for five years), and meet specific standards for financial income and resources. In addition, a person must fall into one of the following categories: families with children up to age 18, people who are aged, blind or permanently disabled, pregnant women, or children.
NJ Family Care NJ FamilyCare is a federal and state funded health insurance program created to help New Jersey's uninsured children and certain low-income parents and guardians to have affordable health coverage.
NJ State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) www.state.nj.us/health/senior/ship.shtml The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) provides free help to New Jersey Medicare beneficiaries who have problems with, or questions about their health insurance. SHIP is a statewide program sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services with major funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
WellCare of NJ Medicare and Medicaid health care plans, including plans for families, children, the aged, and the blind and disabled. WellCare also operates prescription drug plans.

New Jersey Mental Health Cares Call the help line at 1-866-202-HELP to be connected to "mental health services including: inpatient and outpatient services, rehabilitation services, self-help services, legal, housing, employment, mental health education and more!" Note this is a referral service, and not a crisis hotline.
Project Live, Inc. "The mission of Project Live, Inc. is to promote recovery, growth and safety for consumers of mental health services." This New Jersey organization offers supportive housing, counselors, and services for the mentally ill chemically addicted.

New Jersey Prescription Drug Price Registry The registry helps consumers compare retail prices charged by many pharmacies for the 150 most frequently prescribed medications.
PAAD - Pharmaceutical Assistance for the Aged and Disabled (NJ) www.state.nj.us/health/seniorbenefits/pbp/paad-home.shtml Helps eligible NJ residents pay for prescription drugs.
Partnership for Prescription Assistance - NJ "Rx4NJ is a program that connects qualified, low-income people with discount prescription drugs, direct from the pharmaceutical manufacturer."
Sanofi-Aventis U.S. Patient Assistance Program If you need help paying for Sanofi-Aventis medications, Sanofi-Aventis may be able to offer assistance for qualifying individuals.
Senior Gold Prescription Drug Program (State of NJ, Department of Health and Human Services) www.state.nj.us/health/seniorbenefits/seniorgolddetail.shtml Provides a new tier of eligibility under the PAAD program by extending eligibility income limits. “The Senior Gold Prescription Discount program helps eligible New Jersey residents pay for prescription drugs, insulin, insulin needles and syringes and needles for injectable medicines used for the treatment of multiple sclerosis.”
Together Rx Access - Prescription Savings Program www.togetherrxaccess.com/Tx/jsp/home.jsp Reduced costs on many drugs for people who meet the eligibility requirements.
